Project |01 shards of divinity

An upcoming independant film still in production, I was commissioned to build 16th century bodice with attatched skirt and hood. The challenge of this garment was making it reversable, the idea of the green being spring/summer looks and brown being fall/winter. Worked out beautifully.
Project |02 Whimsical Wedding
​
This collaborative wedding dress was built with a lot of trust. I was given a slip as a base, a few yards of both skirting materials, a handful of doilies six different types of lace, and a jar of vintage buttons. I put my design degree to work and built her dream dress. She gave me a few guidelines like being tea length and having straps but the rest of the design came organically, playing with placement and textures. It turned out to be exactly what she wanted and set the tone for her whimsical artistic wedding.
Project |03 four maids and a flower girl

Commisioned to pattern and make a friends bridesmaid and flower girl dress. The challenge of this was finding a pattern to fit the shape of four different shapes and still flattering to all. Instead of patterning myself we decided to go with a modern pattern that called for stretch knit fabric so it would require no zipper and drapped over the different body types beautifully.
